Blue Winds Farm

A Journey through History and Nature

Blue Winds Farm spans across 30 acres of field and forest, gracefully spread over slow rolling hills, and situated just a hop, skip, and jump from Blue Job Mountain in Strafford, New Hampshire.

A Glimpse into the Past

The first documented settlement of the farm was by the Stanton family in the 1750s. Yes, that was before the United States officially became the United States. As is the case with many old New England towns, the Stanton’s and their kin are laid to rest on the land where they poured their blood, sweat, and tears—along with smiles, surely. The property supported their generations until the 1920s. The farm then passed through the hands of the Jones, Berry, Redmond, and Robidas families, until 2021 when our story begins. When we were the lucky ones to be chosen by the property as its next residents. There is something profoundly connecting to know the deep history of your home, AND the many things that must fall into place to have the opportunity to become the next part of its history.

The Calling

The land called to us, beckoning to be more than just a still place. It called for life, for work, and for production as it once did. Thus began our journey in farming. Lavender! What better choice is there, to take land with the most amazing energy and accessorize it with the ultimate of calming plants?

Our Journey in Lavender Farming

As our story continues to be written, we tend the land and plant the fields. To date, we have 2,000 plants in four varieties. The farm-gates opened to guests in 2024, inviting guests to visit and see the new special projects we’re working on. We find joy in sharing this special place - rich in land and history - with all those who wish to experience it. After all, we are merely stewards of this land - serving it for as long as we are fortunate enough to do so.
